Our intro in photography has taken us into options available for photography use today. We are transitioning into the study of the history of photography and will be presenting research each student did on a different aspect of history to the class. Signed parent letters are due by the end of next week and can be downloaded at http://www.duncanvilleisd.org/chensley. Our first digital assignment is due Thursday Sept. 9. Students should be shooting a minimum of 25 new photos in a digital format using the 4 styles we discussed so far-posed people pictures, candid people pictures, scenics, and architecture. Students will need their 35mm film camera by Sept. 13 when we will be getting our first roll of black and white film to shoot for class.
We also watched the short video about my summer vacation

Welcome to Photojournalism
You may be taking photojournalism for either one semester or an entire year. It is an elective (non-required class). It will only count for a fine arts credit if you have requested it from your counselor and been approved through Mr. Chreitzberg (the head principal).
You will need for class-a 35 mm film camera (film size is 35mm not lens length), a digital camera that is not in your phone, a folder with pockets.
I look forward to helping you find your inner artist. You can find more information about the class at http:www.duncanvilleisd.org/chensley

Cool Photo Site
The following site- http://alpha.artevolve.com/
is something you might enjoy. It allows you to post your photos. Then you can download and edit other people's work, and they can do the same for yours. Sort of an evolutionary process of art. I encourage you to try it.
